The Besafe_Staysafe campaign is all about imparting in young people the importance of putting their safety first if they have to engage in sexual activities. This, the campaign seeks to achieve through goals simplified into three simple slogans.
- GET TESTED
- GET PROTECTION
- GET LIVING
GET TESTED:
The importance of individuals and sexual partners knowing their HIV status can never be over-emphasised. One of the key things our campaign seeks to do is to convince sexually active young people to go for regular tests and know their status. Our plan is to have 25,000 young people tested through the initiative by World AIDS day on December 1st.

GET PROTECTION:
Use of protection during sex forms a core part of the message in our campaign. When it comes to the use of condoms as a way to prevent new cases of the virus from occurring, our main question to YOU young guys is-why not?
GET LIVING:
HIV/AIDS tests can either be negative or positive but either way life must go on peeps. It is for this reason that the Besafe_Staysafe campaign has set up this blog and an e-mail at besafe.campaign@gmail.com to be able to offer free post –testing counseling to people who test positive/Negative without the pressure involved with face to face counseling and also offer information on the disease. We also look forward to fighting the stigma associated with HIV through interactive projects with the youth on the social web.So always feel free to drop us an email, any information that you give us will be treated with utmost confidentiality.
